About FeTNA
The Federation of Tamil Sangams of North America (FeTNA) is the premier umbrella organization connecting Tamil Sangams across the United States and Canada. Established as a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit tax-exempt organization, FeTNA’s core mission is to preserve, promote, and cultivate Tamil language, literature, traditional arts, and cultural heritage across generations in North America.
A Proud History
FeTNA was founded in 1987 by five pioneering Tamil organizations and the Tamil Sangam of Washington & Baltimore (now WTS) was proudly one of those original five founding members. Our local community holds a landmark place in FeTNA’s history: WTS spearheaded and hosted the historic 25th Silver Jubilee FeTNA Convention in 2012 right here in Baltimore, Maryland, welcoming thousands of Tamils from around the globe.
