TSGW Pongal Vizha 2022 – Events Registration – 2022 பொங்கல் விழா (Pongal Vizha ) கலை நிகழ்ச்சி பதிவு
நமது தமிழ்ச்சங்கம் சுமார் மூன்று மாதங்களுக்கு ஒருமுறை தமிழ் சார்ந்த விழாக்களை நடத்தி வருகிறது. விழாக்களில் இடம்பெறும் கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள், போட்டிகள், விருந்தினர் உரையாடல்கள், பட்டிமன்றம், இன்னிசை நிகழ்ச்சி போன்றவற்றில் நீங்களும், உங்கள் பிள்ளைகளும், நண்பர்களும் தவறாமல் பங்கெடுத்துக் கொள்ளுமாறு அன்புடன் வேண்டுகிறோம்.

Rules :

1. Minimum participants are required in a group based on the below Category for the
Category A: Age – 5-8 – Minimum participants – 8 ; Max Time – 3 Minutes
Category B : Age – 9-12- Minimum Participants -6; Max Time – 4 Minutes
Category C : Age 12 & above – Minimum Participants – 6; MaxTime – 5 minutes
More the participants –More the time – Maximum 10-15 minutes if an unique performance.
2. It is the coordinator’s responsibility to check EVERY PARTICIPANT is 2021-2022 TAMIL SANGAM MEMBER, or MUST PAID NON MEMBER DONATION OF $30 per family per event.

The last date to pay non-member donation must be paid online on or before Jan 18th, 2022.
3. Registrations are accepted on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Last Date: Jan 8th, 2022, But we may close the registration if we get enough registrations.
4. Audio/transcripts must be emailed to events@washingtontamilsangam.org.The last day to send the song/dialog for performance is Jan 8th, 2022. Your registration will be excluded from the list, if we don’t receive the SCRIPT/mp3 by Jan 8th, 2022.
5. Language/lyrical content/attire must be appropriate for all ages, must adhere to Tamil tradition and should not be hurtful to any section of people/group/ethnicity.
6. Dance related to Tamil literature, culture(கிராமிய – பாரம்பரிய, தமிழ்ப் பண்பாடு சார்ந்த கலை நிகழ்ச்சிகள்) and Pongal based themes will be given preference
7. The program committee will review whether the song/program is at anticipated quality.
8. Entries will be honored in the order they are received. In case of multiple entries with the
the same song, the first entry will be chosen, and the other participants will be asked to change
their song.
10. Every participant will be allowed only one performance on stage with the intention of
giving a fair opportunity to everyone. GUEST APPEARANCE IS ALSO NOT ALLOWED. Please note that this is a very important rule and will be strictly followed.
11. On Jan 18th, every coordinator will be notified of their backstage reporting time, if the team missed reporting during that time slot, they will be excluded to perform on that day.
